Exploitation indicators of thermal power plant facilities reliability

  • Safety of functioning of thermal power plant facilities and its supporting energetic equipment is determined by numerous different (by its nature) factors, such as: construction, quality of materials, building technology, quality of installation, conditions of exploitation, quality of steam, etc. During the exploitation, situations occur when partial or total loss of functional abilities takes places, namely malfunctions, which can be total (breakdown or shutdown) or partial (lowering working ability). Therein, malfunctions that occur can be instantaneous and gradual. Aside the criteria for evaluating the reliability indicators, it is also necessary to define primary and supplementary reliability indicators. For the illustration, inside this paper the analysis of operating indicators achieved in thermal power plant Ugljevik is given for period from January to June of 2010.
