A direct pulse heating method for measurement of thermal properties of metals and alloys in a wide temperature range

  • This work presents a direct pulse heating method for the measurement of specific heat capacity, electrical resistivity, total hemispherical emissivity and normal spectral emissivity of metals and alloys (electrical conductors) in a wide temperature range. Besides the description of principles, apparatus and data reduction procedure, an example of application of the method is presented in a separate chapter. In the example values of specific electrical resistivity and specific heat of palladium samples in the 20-1500 °C temperature range is presented.
