Supervisory and control systems of cooling plants

  • This paper de scribes realization of system for remote supervision and control of reception and cold storage in fruit industry. System is implemented to work in 'Elixir Food' in Sabac, Serbia, cold storage. Total number of process signals is 888. Soft ware purpose is remote super vision and control of en tire plant from control room. Beside, graphical display of datas of interest on remote working station in laboratory ('Technological station') is available. Signal acquisition and process control are done by programmable logic controller Siemens S7-400. Process visualization is implemented using Siemens WinCC soft ware package. This solution is based on most advanced control technologies in industry. Paper also describes electric load control systems in compressor station in cooling factory. Over all in stalled power of compressor are 2 MW, where every of 8 compressors is equipped with its own controlling device which, by using PROFIBUS communication protocol, is connected with PLC and SCADA system. The goal of system realization is to control the load and achieving the minimal and balanced electric power consumption in factory. Whole system is realized in 'Elixir-Food' cooling factory in Sabac.
